OrangeFSThe OrangeFS team continues its work to provide you the next evolution of PVFS. They are collaborating with the community, working on features such as:

  • Improved metadata and small-file performance
  • Secure access control
  • Increased testing
  • Cross-server redundancy
  • Diverse Client Access Methods: POSIX, MPI, Linux VFS, FUSE, Windows, WebDAV, S3 and REST

These new features are in addition to existing advantages, such as distributed metadata, user-level file system (no kernel modifications necessary), easy deployment and optimized MPIO support.
